21-year-old Denzel Curry has emerged as one of the underground’s most vibrant young rap talents. Originally a member of the SpaceGhostPurrp-founded collective Raider Klan, Curry quickly distinguished himself as one of the network's sharpest pens. Drawing from life experiences including the tragic death of his older brother, Treon Johnson, who died shortly after being taken into custody by Miami police who pepper sprayed and tasered him, Curry does not fixate on the morbid. Rather he transforms life’s darkest experiences into hip-hop that’s laser-focused and poignant. Curry is currently working on the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2016 album, Imperial, and is preparing for a string of West Coast tour dates including a stop at the Coachella Festival.
