Heralding from the great land of Gloucestershire and drawn to the neon lights of the big smoke and the wafting fragrance of BBQ jerk chicken from a Brixtonian grill, she had ARRIVED… with 20p in her pocket.
So our rags to near riches or just making the rent story propels us into the present day. A producer first and DJ-ing followed, so she could share her phat tunes with the rest of the world.
With a bass to rattle your guts and a dirty mellifluous electro sound, DJ Laura Brown amalgamated her own tunes and others on the over used phrase “wheels of steels” but she did so with a passionate shoulder rock and fist to punch the air.
Audiences were at clubs, her infamous house parties, beaches, yachts and many other obscure type venues some worth mentioning would be the likes of the Ministry of Sound (London), Hidden (London’s Vauxhall), AKA Bar and Shoreditch House to name a few.
Twisting her threads of music through the UK her talent of arousing the club into frenzy, has taken her across the world from Egypt to the world famous Winter Music Festival in Miami 2010.
