About

If you think the name Foxy Shazam suggests a band ready to have a funky, '70s-era good time, you’d be partly right. There’s some '70s sensibility, for sure, but it’s more Queen-variety glam-rock than “do the hustle.”

The name actually was a slang term used in frontman Eric Nally's Cincinnati high school to connote cool shoes. It’s now a name you can find on SPIN Magazine’s 10 Bands to Watch in 2010.

The over-the-top experimental rock outfit is quickly proving ready for the big time with grandiose tunes and captivating, and sometimes acrobatic, stage performances. The band's latest album, Foxy Shazam, features the sports-anthem-in-waiting stomper, “Unstoppable,” a song that got airtime during this year’s Super Bowl. “We Are the Champions,” indeed.
