Formed in 2005 by Ryan Guldemond (initially under the name Mother), the band rebranded as Mother Mother after signing to Last Gang and re-releasing their debut as Touch Up. They expanded their lineup in later years (notably adding Jasmin Parkin) and have released multiple albums since 2007.
