Evanston Folk Festival returns for its third year at Dawes Park on the shores of Lake Michigan, September 12–13. The two-day, family-friendly festival runs 11:30am–8:30pm each day and features more than 30 artists across multiple stages, plus local vendors and a wide range of food and drink options. Easily accessible by public transportation, the festival welcomes music fans of all ages, and kids under 12 get in free.
Beyond the music, the festival also includes “Tent Talks,” a series of conversations, interviews, and panels exploring the state of folk music, along with intimate pre- and post-festival shows at nearby venues like Cahn Auditorium and Evanston Space. Weekend passes are on sale now, with the single-day lineup and tickets expected later this spring or early summer.
